Job Description
Job Summary:**
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets and market share growth for BD Medication Delivery Solutions. within a designated geographical area. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing customer relationships, and leading a team of sales professionals to drive revenue and expand the company's presence.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and business objectives.
* Manage and cultivate strong relationships with key accounts, customers, and distributors within the assigned territory, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize their effectiveness and professional development.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and inform product development strategies.
* Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and business reviews to senior management, highlighting performance, challenges, and proposed solutions.
* Negotiate and close complex sales agreements, ensuring adherence to company policies and pricing guidelines.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment with overall business goals.
* Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote BD Medication Delivery Solutions. products and services.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and sales activity in the CRM system.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with at least 2 years in a sales management capacity.
* Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving market share growth.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
* Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
* Knowledge of CareFusion 303, Inc. products and the healthcare market is highly desirable.
