Administrative Analyst I
$65,926 - $84,140 annually
Administrative Analyst II
$77,963 - $99,501 annually

What You’ll Do
- Research, analyze, and organize data to support programs, projects, and management decisions.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and recommendations on a variety of City programs and policies.
- Coordinate with City departments, outside agencies, vendors, and the community to support services, contracts, budgets, and special projects.

The Position:
Under varying levels of supervision, assists in the operation of a variety of activities within an assigned department or major program; analyzes data; prepares reports and makes recommendations; provides a wide variety of administrative assistance to management and performs related work as required. The list established for this recruitment is good for one year and will be used to fill future vacancies as needed.
There are currently two vacancies: one for Administrative Analyst I in the Police Department and one for Administrative Analyst I/II* in the Community and Economic Development Department.
*Placement at the I or II level takes into consideration an individual’s education and experience, as well as how their qualifications, knowledge, and abilities are demonstrated through the application and examination process.
Education and Experience:
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.

Administrative Analyst II: Two years of experience equivalent to a City of Fullerton Administrative Analyst I
Special Requirements:
Ability to travel within the area to attend various job-related, professional, and organizational activities.

Candidates who successfully complete the assessment process for this recruitment will be placed on an eligible list, which will remain in effect for at least one year or until an insufficient number of candidates remain on the list.
Current City of Fullerton employees may be given preference during the testing and/or selection process.
Additional Information:
Employment offers are conditional upon the successful completion of a background check. The background check will include fingerprinting, verified by the State of California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
An appointee will serve a 12-month probationary period. Regular City employees promoted to this position will serve a 6-month probationary period.
