Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time NYS Licensed Patrol Threat Recognition in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, common areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry when required, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized persons or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate security-related observations, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
