The Role
Under supervision, provides Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to support heat tracing projects, R&D verification, product development, field troubleshooting, technical publications, and sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Responsible for providing engineering support to Thermon subsidiaries and clients.
- Provides design analysis to help Thermon personnel and clients make educated decisions on projects.
- Provides accurate and detailed reports of FEA/CFD results.
Key Characteristics, Competences and Skills
- Ability to interact successfully with internal and external clients
- Working knowledge of Heat transfer and Thermodynamics Fundamentals
- 1+ years experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD program
- Strong written & oral communication skills in English required. Skills in other languages are considered beneficiary
Knowledge and Experience
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of FEA/CFD experience with focus on thermal analysis
- Experience with Autodesk CFD preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office
