We are looking for an Associate Director of Transportation who will be overseeing contract administration, billing and NEMT operations, auditing, budgeting, grant-funded projects, and performance management initiatives. This role works closely with the Director of Transportation to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and exceptional customer service. The Associate Director serves as a key leader in the Transportation Department, managing critical administrative and operational functions while supporting staff development, contractor relationships, grant administration, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation Management, Finance, Project Management, Logistics, or related fields.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation operations, program administration, grants management, contract management, or related fields.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience managing budgets, grants, contracts, and operational reporting.
- Experience working with public funding sources and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with nonprofit, public transit, paratransit, NEMT, or human services organizations.
- Experience administering FTA Section 5310 or similar grant-funded transportation programs.
- Knowledge of transportation scheduling, dispatch, and reporting systems.
- Strong knowledge of transportation operations, contract administration, grants management, and financial oversight.
- Understanding federal, state, and local transportation regulations and funding requirements.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret operational and financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build productive relationships with contractors, government agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, reporting tools, and transportation management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $115,000-$130,000 annually (depending on experience)
