Applications for Semester 1 2027 will open on Monday 2 November 2026 and close on Friday 8 January 2027.

Most allocations occur before the beginning of semester but are not necessarily final until Week 3 of semester. A demonstrator may see a reduction in allocated hours or be assigned to a different course - this does not reflect on the demonstrator involved as it is usually due to unresolved timetabling constraints or fluctuations in enrolments.

New applicants must be available for compulsory training sessions scheduled for the week prior to the start of semester.

Casual Academics are appointed on the basis of their academic qualifications and experience, they should possess the requisite knowledge for the course or the ability to acquire such through independent learning.
