Part-Time - Student Assistant – RangerPRINT

Position Summary
 

The Student Assistant at Kilgore College’s RangerPRINT will assist with daily print shop operations, including digital printing, finishing, packaging, and delivery of completed print jobs. This position supports the production team in providing accurate, high-quality printing services to college departments and customers while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Position Responsibilities
 

• Assist with digital printing and production tasks
• Operate printing equipment and assist with print production under staff supervision
• Perform finishing tasks, including cutting, folding, binding, collating, and other post-printing processes as needed
• Package, label, and prepare completed print jobs for pickup or delivery
• Deliver completed print jobs to designated campus locations, including the Kilgore College Campus Store
• Assist with loading, unloading, sorting, and organizing paper, supplies, and completed print materials
• Remove trash and dispose of production waste appropriately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow established production procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety guidelines
• Provide general assistance to RangerPRINT staff as needed to support daily operations
• Read and respond to all college communications in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Position Requirements

 

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at Kilgore College
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must be able to take direction well and work with little supervision

Work Environment
 

• May occasionally require lifting, carrying, moving, or arranging event materials, tables, chairs, signage, and other equipment
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to producing quality work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and handling printed materials
• Able to lift and move print materials and supplies as required
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with college employees, students, and customers
• Must follow all Kilgore College employment policies and applicable student employment requirements

Safety
 

• Follow all Kilgore College safety policies and procedures
• Use equipment and facilities only as instructed and trained
• Report unsafe conditions, facility concerns, accidents, or injuries to the appropriate supervisor immediately
• Support a safe and welcoming environment for students, employees, guests, vendors, and others

Salary Range and Benefits
 

• The rate of pay is up to $10-$12 per hour depending on experience for up to 19 hours per week.

All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Positions will remain open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment. An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check.
