The Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Engineer to join our Urban Infrastructure team in Brisbane. With a background in construction engineering, the successful candidate will focus on construction phase services including site supervision, project management, contract administration, quality management and coordinating across our client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of technical expertise, particularly with engineering and construction methods, materials, equipment, and techniques
• Pre-empt and resolve on-site construction problems
• Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and understanding of their drivers
• Strong growth mindset and ability to train and mentor junior staff
• Monitor construction progress against program
• Approve payment of contractor’s progress claims and contract variations up to specified limits
• Ensure the proper and accurate two-way flow of information in relation to allocated projects
• comply with the requirements outlined in the respective roles and responsibilities
• Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10-15 years’ Construction Engineering experience
• Urban, land development, roads and/or municipal project experience
• Must have a strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Australian Driver’s licence and white card
• Exposure to multi-disciplinary design development and authority applications and approvals will be highly regarded
