Schedule: 4 - 4 - 3 - 3 (12 hr shifts)
Hours: 2:30 PM – 2:30 AM. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as needed, including overtime, weekends & holidays.
Pay: $22.50/hour, plus a shift premium. This position is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing/supervising a team of full-time security officers for a 24/7 security operation. This person would work under the direction of a Security Chief and/or Plant Safety Manager. This person will coordinate and implement company security policies and procedures and oversee the day-to-day operations of the security program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Position will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining communication and coordination with other department managers as required.
- Coordinate with local and state law enforcement agencies and local first responders/emergency services as required.
- Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility
- Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.
- Writing investigative reports.
- Performing preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed.
- Roving or walking through the plant to check physical facility security.
- Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.
- Operating communications equipment including telephone, two-way radio, and intercom equipment.
- Other job assignment duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or its equivalency required.
Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience required. Prior investigative experience preferred. Necessary training provided for successful applicants.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are a necessity, and applicant must possess the ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Tyson Management.
Special Skills: Must have the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion

Internal disqualifiers are the following:
- Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.
