Within our HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) Global Product Group, we are pioneers in advanced DC transmission technology, enabling efficient long‑distance and submarine power transmission and connecting power systems worldwide.
As the HVDC organization continues to grow, our Engineering BIM organization is expanding to meet increasing tender and project demand. To strengthen engineering execution, efficiency, and digital delivery, we are now looking for a Manager – Building Information Modeling (BIM) to lead and develop our Swedish BIM organization within HVDC Engineering.
In this role, you will lead a Swedish team of BIM specialists, combining people leadership, strategic development, and operational oversight. You will work closely with the Global Engineering Manager, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to shape the BIM Operations, standardize ways of working, and ensure the right capacity and competence for current and future business needs.
This role is based in Västerås, Sweden.
How you’ll make an impact
Lead, inspire, and develop the local BIM organization in Sweden, fostering a high-performing and engaged team culture.
Drive employee growth and engagement through effective coaching, continuous feedback, performance development, and succession planning.
Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations aligned with HVDC Engineering objectives and follow up on delivery and performance.
Ensure the team has the right competencies, capacity, and resources to support the growing HVDC project portfolio.
Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning across the BIM community and wider engineering organization.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of BIM professionals to strengthen organizational capabilities.
Collaborate closely with global BIM leadership, project teams, engineering managers, and key stakeholders to align priorities and resource needs.
Drive continuous improvement of ways of working, processes, and team effectiveness.
Support financial planning, budgeting, and resource forecasting for the local BIM organization.
Your background
Proven experience leading and developing engineering, digital, or technical teams in a people management role.
Demonstrated ability to coach, engage, and build high-performing teams in dynamic and evolving environments.
Strong understanding of BIM, Digital Engineering, or engineering project delivery environments.
Experience working in global and multicultural organizations
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage people, priorities, and resources to achieve business goals.
Experience with resource planning, workforce management, and organizational development.
Fluent in English; Swedish is considered an advantage.
