General Description

The Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) Specialist supports the company's compliance with global, regional, and local chemical control, product safety, and environmental regulations applicable to paints, coatings, and related raw materials. This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of PSRA work assignments related to customer service, regulatory operations, data governance, and system administration activities, following established procedures and work instructions in a timely manner. The specialist is responsible for maintaining regulatory and product information within designated PSRA systems, processing requests related to raw material regulatory data, reviewing vendor SDSs and raw material information changes, supporting customer compliance inquiries, and ensuring data accuracy across regulatory databases and enterprise systems. The position plays a key role in promoting product safety, regulatory compliance, responsible product stewardship, and continuous improvement of PSRA digital processes while supporting business objectives and innovation initiatives. In addition, the specialist serves as a subject matter resource for PSRA-related information systems, including Sphera Intelligent Authoring (IA), SAP, LPI, web-based SDS authoring and distribution platforms, and associated regulatory databases, helping to ensure data integrity, system effectiveness, and process efficiency.  

 

PSRA Systems and Data Management 6Support

• Maintain and update regulatory, product, substance, and raw material information within PSRA-related information systems, including Sphera Intelligent Authoring (IA), SAP, LPI, web-based SDS management systems, and other designated databases.
• Support SDS authoring, revision, publishing, and distribution activities utilizing Sphera IA and other approved SDS authoring platforms.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across interconnected systems through routine reviews, validation checks, and adherence to established governance procedures.
• Investigate and resolve system-related data issues impacting product stewardship, regulatory compliance, SDS generation, customer requests, and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with IT, Digital, Master Data, Supply Chain, and PSRA teams to support system enhancements, process improvements, and implementation of new regulatory tools.
• Participate in system upgrades, validation activities, and data migration projects related to PSRA systems.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, work instructions, and standard operating procedures related to regulatory data management processes.
• Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and automated workflows to improve efficiency, visibility, and accuracy of regulatory information.
• Provide end-user support and training on PSRA systems and processes as required.
• Support internal users of Salesforce (SFDC), Sphera IA, SAP, LPI, web-based SDS systems, reporting tools, data workflows, and the implementation of new digital solutions that improve service levels, data quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, Chemical Compliance, or related functions, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Practical experience interpreting regulatory requirements for chemical products.
• Knowledge and experience assigning GHS classifications.
• Knowledge and experience in SDS and label authoring/preparation.
• Experience working with regulatory information management systems and enterprise software platforms.
• Working knowledge of Sphera Intelligent Authoring (IA), SAP, LPI, web-based SDS authoring/distribution systems, and Salesforce (SFDC) preferred.
• Experience maintaining product, substance, and raw material regulatory databases and supporting data governance processes.
• Familiarity with system integrations, master data management, workflow automation, and reporting tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand complex regulations pertaining to chemical substances.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Customer-focused, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Power BI, and related reporting tools.
• Experience collaborating with IT, Digital, and business stakeholders to improve regulatory processes and systems is preferred.
