Hospitality Operations Manager (FT)

Description

The Hospitality Operations Manager is responsible for serving as the Manager on Duty and provide positive leadership across Food & Beverage, Banquets, Hotel, Security, and the overall guest experience. We are looking for an Operations Manager who enjoys being in the middle of the action and wants to expand their hospitality experience beyond one or two departments. This role will have a heavy evening and weekend presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Food & Beverage and/or Rooms operations. Banquet experience is preferred. Candidates should be adaptable, hands-on, and eager to learn, with a willingness to support multiple departments and develop a well-rounded understanding of the overall operation.

Essential Job Functions:  

• Serve as the Evening and Weekend Manager on Duty, providing visible, positive leadership throughout the complex. 
• Support hotel check-in and check-out, restaurant dinner service, banquet events, and other operational areas as business demands. 
• Maintain close communication with Security and department leaders throughout the shift. 
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, closing procedures, and operational controls with honesty and integrity. 
• Monitor guest flow, cleanliness, presentation, service standards, and property readiness, taking initiative before issues become guest concerns. 
• Troubleshoot guest concerns and operational challenges in real time while maintaining a kind, professional approach. 
• Prepare weekend recaps highlighting wins, challenges, guest feedback, and opportunities for improvement. 
• Help teammates succeed by stepping in during high-volume periods, sharing information, and supporting departments outside of your primary area of expertise. 
• Create memorable experiences for hotel guests, restaurant guests, event attendees, athletes, families, and tournament visitors. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Expertise in one area of hospitality and is ready to broaden their operational knowledge, gain exposure to multiple departments, and take the next step in their leadership career. 
• Experience in hospitality, hotel, food & beverage, banquet, or operations management, preferably in a high-volume environment.  
• Strong background in Food & Beverage and/or Rooms operations, with banquet or event experience preferred.  
• Previous experience serving as a Manager on Duty (MOD) or independently overseeing operations across multiple departments.  
• Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and communicate effectively with teams across multiple departments.  
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.  
• Highly adaptable and hands-on, with a willingness to step outside of their primary area of expertise and learn new areas of the business.  
• Strong guest service and hospitality mindset, with the ability to resolve concerns and create positive experiences for guests, athletes, families, and event attendees.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-volume event periods.
