Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Pune

Reporting to: Lead - Preparation and Methods

Overview of the Role:

Responsible for process improvements and for ensuring quality product with his/her application expertise. Responsible for establishment of the products within stipulated norm and targeted time.

Responsibilities:

• Handle improvement projects for all special/standard products & Process Capability for Bulldog /ER/Final operations.
• Handle improvement projects for all special/standard products & Process Capability for Bulldog /ER/Final operations.
• Machine Capability Study and improvement for Bulldog / ER / Final operations.
• Establishing New allocations from other PU’s for Bulldog, ER and Final Operations.
• Methods data preparation for Final Operations/ER and Surface Treatment for specials & standard inserts.
• Process development by establishing new methods, tools, fixtures as per requirement
• Establish new projects in Cycle Time study, Setup Time Study, Methods Study as per requirements
• Communication with all stakeholders to share best practices.
• Global & Local technology/machine development projects for Bulldog/ER/Final operations
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and sustain improvements.
• Coordinate QCI/Suggestions/H&NM
• Coordinate and drive Opex Projects
• Investment justifications /IAR’s
• Maintain data of all products for further improvement. (FMEA/PFMEA)
• Handle nonconformities of products & find solutions for avoidance in future.
• Exhibit good teamwork within the department.
• Align and abide by Sandvik core values.

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to above the person will be responsible for establishment of specials & PDP articles.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: BE mechanical / BE production.
• Experience: 5-10Years of production/Engineering/Quality.
• Coordinates and carries out the daily activities to support, production or operations team including subordinate work leaders.
• Acts as per priorities for the team to ensure task completion.
• Could have budget and performance management responsibility.
• Provides input on overall resource planning.
• Good communication skills

• SAP,
• GSS ll; IMS,
• ISO Documentation

 LICENCES & CERTIFICATES:

• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
• ISO 9001:2015
