About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the future of BOQ Specialist's Home Lending function at a time of continued growth, innovation and transformation.
As Senior Manager Home Lending, you'll lead a geographically dispersed team of Home Lending professionals across Australia, providing leadership to a multi-layered team responsible for delivering exceptional customer outcomes, driving portfolio growth and strengthening relationships across the BOQ Group. You'll create an environment where people can thrive, developing capability, fostering collaboration and ensuring the team is equipped to identify opportunities that deepen customer relationships and support long-term growth.
Reporting to the General Manager BOQ Specialist, you'll play a key role in advancing our home lending proposition, partnering closely with stakeholders across Business Banking, Retail, Operations and Risk. You'll help drive strategic initiatives, support ongoing technology uplift and process improvement, and contribute to the continued evolution of how we serve our customers.
This is a highly visible leadership role that requires somebody who can balance commercial outcomes, customer advocacy and strong risk management. You'll bring the credibility and technical expertise to coach, mentor and develop your team in all aspects of home lending, credit assessment, credit structuring and relationship management, ensuring a consistently high standard of performance and customer experience.
At BOQ Specialist, we're continuing to invest in our people, technology and capability to create better experiences for our customers and colleagues.
If you're excited by leading through change, building high-performing teams and contributing to an organisation with ambitious growth plans, we'd love to hear from you.
About You
You're a passionate and authentic people leader who enjoys developing others and creating high-performing, engaged teams. You know how to inspire people, bring them on a journey through change and build a culture focused on accountability, collaboration and customer outcomes.
You bring extensive experience in home lending and credit, with a strong understanding of credit analysis, loan structuring and responsible lending principles. Importantly, you enjoy sharing your knowledge and developing capability in others, acting as a trusted coach and mentor who can elevate technical expertise across the team.
You'll have a proven track record leading teams in a banking or financial services environment and thrive in fast-paced environments where balancing customer needs, commercial performance and risk outcomes is critical. Your ability to influence stakeholders, build relationships across multiple business areas and navigate complexity will enable you to succeed in this nationally focused leadership role.
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, customer obsessed and genuinely energised by opportunity. You'll be curious, adaptable and forward-thinking, with a passion for continuous improvement, innovation and finding better ways to deliver value for customers and colleagues alike.
If you're ready to join an organisation that's investing in growth, embracing change and redefining what's possible for customers, we'd love to hear from you.
