ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Talent & Culture team is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and employee-focused Advisor, People Operations to help deliver an exceptional employee experience across our North American workforce.

In this role, you will manage and administer key People Operations programs and processes across Canada and the U.S. Acting as a trusted resource for employees and managers, you will support benefits, leaves, HR policies, employee programs, workplace requirements, and employee lifecycle activities. Partnering closely with employees, managers, Payroll, HRIS, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and external providers, you will play a key role in ensuring our people programs and processes are efficient, compliant, and delivered with a high standard of service. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes across Canada and the U.S., including onboarding, employment changes, leaves, and offboarding.

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee and manager questions related to benefits, policies, programs, and workplace requirements.

  • Administer benefits, retirement, leave, accommodation, and return-to-work programs in partnership with employees, managers, providers, and insurers.

  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, employment letters, and verifications with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Partner with Payroll, HRIS, and external providers to ensure accurate employee data, transactions, reporting, and program administration.

  • Oversee Health & Safety activities, compliance reporting, audits, and regulatory recordkeeping requirements.

  • Maintain HR policies, employee resources, and employee guide updates for North America.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and service delivery across the employee experience, while supporting broader Talent & Culture initiatives and projects.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; CRHA designation is an asset.

  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in Human Resources, People Operations, Benefits, or HR Administration, including responsibility for key programs and processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.

  • Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes, benefits administration, leave management, and HR policies.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and administrative processes simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, given the international nature of the role.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on confidentiality, documentation, process management, and operational excellence.

  • Comfortable learning and leveraging HR technologies, reporting tools, and emerging solutions, including AI, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable contributing to a broad range of Talent & Culture initiatives within a small, hands-on team.

Please note that the role is hybrid (mix of remote and in-office).
