MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Sales Manager or Associate Director of Sales in a similar sized property
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead, train, and mentor a sales team.
- Proficiency in hotel sales systems, Microsoft Office, and PMS platforms.
- Knowledge of STR, TravelClick, forecasting, budgeting, and sales productivity reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of group and catering pace, marketing plans, and financial expectations.
Job Duties
- Lead, train, and manage the Sales, Catering, and Conference Services teams.
- Achieve or exceed budgeted revenues, RevPAR, and market penetration goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, action plans, and team goals.
- Oversee professional and timely proposals, contracts, and follow-up.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management within the department.
- Conduct sales calls, client entertainment, and site inspections; maintain strong account relationships.
- Review and ensure accuracy of sales and group contracts.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management on pricing, forecasting, and business mix strategies.
- Assist with annual budget, marketing plans, and quarterly ownership presentations.
- Monitor team productivity, financial performance, and market conditions.
- Create and distribute monthly sales reports to senior leadership.
- Partner with Marketing on promotional strategies and brand visibility.
- Maintain accurate sales records and respond to all inquiries within 24 business hours.
- Address guest and client concerns and ensure corrective action.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
