About the Role
Responsible for overseeing prototype manufacturing operations. The AME Pilot Factory AME Technician II is responsible for the performance of metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost within the AME Pilot Factory, always under current internal policies.
Your Team
The AME Lead Technician will report to the Production Supervisor and will have as a team the AME SMT Technician and/or the AME FA Technician.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for supervising the manufacturing of prototypes in all phases they go through in the operation of the AME Pilot Factory.
- Responsible for the results of the indicators related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost within the AME Pilot Factory, always under the current internal policies.
- Supervisory responsibilities:
- SMT Technician of AME Pilot Factory.
- FA Technician of AME Pilot Factory.
- As part of supervision responsibilities, if there is no employee to assist with the process, the direct supervisor will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee with the same qualifications.
- Comply with the pilot production plan with quality, on time, and in the correct quantity through coordination and constant teamwork with all Engineering and support areas.
- Collect and analyze data to identify problems through the application of problem-solving tools. Acts as a guide for technicians in problem-solving.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce waste or scrap.
- Follow up and comply with the company's implemented quality management, environmental management, safety, and HPS systems.
- Communicate and explain the necessary information for understanding the processes and achieving the established objectives.
- Supervisa las actividades del Técnico AME SMT & Ensamble Final AME.
- Ensures, creates, and modifies the documented process as necessary.
- Follow-up on the certification matrix for AME SMT Technician & Final Assembly AME.
- Monitor compliance with the DNC for direct reports.
- Represent customer requirements under the BMS System and the Quality Management System QMS.
- Support in the creation, editing, dissemination, and execution of documents such as VJI, WORK INSTRUCTIONS, etc., with the support of the AME SMT Technician & Final Assembly AME.
- Ensure that quality management and environmental management requirements are established, implemented, and maintained according to ISO 14001 / IATF 16949: 2016.
- Guide, lead, and take actions according to the controls established in the process and stop the line if necessary.
- Compliance with the correct management of materials for all work-in-progress products at each level, including raw materials, PCBA, MRT, and finished product, and condition according to the guidelines of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Assign the necessary resources for preventive maintenance events.
- Ensure the application of ESD standards in the workshop.
- Management of vacations and working hours for AME SMT and AME Final Assembly Technician.
- Schedule the necessary personnel for the production plan in case of a recovery plan, including scheduling for their transport.
- Ensure that the production plant complies with the 5S policy.
- Ensure that all personnel in the production operation correctly use the PPE and Safety policy.
- Monitor the escalation process when necessary.
- Comply with any other tasks directly assigned by the AME Pilot Plant Supervisor.
- Provide resources for the execution of ESD validation activities, coordinated by Quality.
- Achieve the kaizen target set by the AME Pilot Plant Supervisor.
- Act as backup for the AME Pilot Plant Supervisor.

Important Information
The employee must have compliance with the IATF 16949 standard, the specific requirements of clients, the Quality Management System (BMS and QMS Apps), the Environmental Management System according with ISO 14001 standard, and the Health and Safety Management System according with ISO 45001.
As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee with equal qualifications.
The employee has the authority granted by the company through this document to make decisions for the benefit of the company to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, and the health and safety of the person who intervenes in the process, according with quality, safety and environmental systems and customer-specific requirements.
