Essential Tasks:

Maintain and analyze Cost Accounting System

• Design, build, and maintain the cost accounting records, systems and processes— keeping current, accurate and reliable.
• Update bill of material information as it changes to keep the costing accurate and reliable to current processes and costs
• Implement supplier cost increases into the costing system
• Evaluate production costs, overhead, labor, and inventory to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities, and prepare detailed reports comparing actual costs to standard

Maintain Pricing Structure and Systems

• Maintain the pricing structure within the ERP system, keeping accurate records of changes to the costs and margins within the system
• Update pricing pages for select products that are maintained outside the system
• Provide custom pricing for items not maintained in the system for cost buildup and mark-ups for the products requested and configuration within the ERP system.

Inventory

• Participate in the inventory count and valuation process.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate records are maintained for all inventory items and count processes are efficient and accurate.
• Continuously look for ways to improve inventory processes and systems for accurate costing.

What You Bring

Core Skills (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; professional certifications like CMA are advantageous
• 3+ years in accounting or finance, with experience in cost accounting
• Proficiency in excel, spreadsheet analysis, and large database manipulation
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate technical findings into plain business language; ability to present to executives
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball
• Familiarity with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial

$ 88-94k plus full benefits
