Working Student, Employee Communications DE

starting from October/November for minimum of 1 year (ideally 2 years) - part time - hybrid work model - 17.680 € p.a.

About the team and the role:

Join eBay’s Employee Communications team in Germany and help deliver engaging, timely communications for employees across Germany. The team supports employee engagement, leadership communications, events, internal channels, and culture initiatives.

As a Working Student, you will support the day-to-day delivery of employee communications, helping keep our channels and content up to date, supporting events, and contributing to communications projects and campaigns. You’ll gain hands-on experience across internal communications, storytelling, employee engagement, events, and digital content while working closely with the Employee Communications lead and other collaborators.

What you will accomplish:

• Support the planning and coordination of projects and campaigns related to internal communications across Germany, helping ensure messages are clear, timely, and engaging.
• Prepare, update, and publish content across internal channels including newsletters, Slack, Hub/intranet, digital screens, and other digital touchpoints.
• Support local employee events, leadership visits, internal meetings, and engagement activities through communications and event logistics.
• Create and adapt communications assets, including presentations, small graphics, simple video content, and other supporting materials.
• Organize and maintain image libraries, communications materials, content files, and shared folders so resources are easy to find and reuse.
• Conduct research, reporting, and content preparation to support communications projects and decision-making.
• Coordinate efforts with the Employee Communications lead in Germany and relevant collaborators while gaining practical experience in employee engagement, leadership communications, storytelling, events, and culture initiatives.

What you will bring:

• Current university enrolment, ideally in communications, media, journalism, marketing, business, humanities, or a related field. Candidates who have started or are close to starting a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in one of these areas are preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills at a minimum of B2 level are required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks reliably and independently.
• Interest in employee communications, employee engagement, storytelling, events, and content creation.
• Confidence working with digital tools and collaboration platforms, including Google Workspace and presentation software.
• An interest in visual communication; experience creating simple graphics or editing video content is a plus.
• A proactive and dependable approach, with the ability to work effectively with multiple collaborators in a fast-paced environment.
