THE ROLE
The Director of Finance will serve as the dedicated financial lead for Live Nation Studios, giving Studio leadership clear, timely visibility into project- and slate-level financial performance. This role will be embedded within the Studio organization and will partner closely with Corporate Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and financial controls.
The role will oversee production finance and accounting across the Studio's growing slate, including cost reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and project close. The ideal candidate will also bring broader financial planning and modeling capabilities to help evaluate new productions, financing structures, partnerships, and business opportunities.
This role requires strong accounting and financial discipline, an understanding of physical production, and the ability to translate financial information into actionable insights for Studio leadership.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Studio & Production Finance
Serve as the primary finance partner to Live Nation Studios leadership.
Provide timely visibility into Studio and project-level spending, forecasts, and financial performance.
Oversee production accounting and financial reporting across the Studio slate.
Monitor production budgets, cost reports, commitments, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
Track budget vs. actual performance and identify potential financial risks or variances.
Manage and forecast project cash flow.
Oversee vendor payments, accruals, reconciliations, and project close in partnership with Corporate Accounting.
Partner with production leadership on budgeting and financial planning throughout the production lifecycle
Support tax incentive tracking and forecasting
Financial Planning & Analysis
Develop Studio-level budgets and forecasts.
Prepare regular financial reporting and analysis for Studio leadership.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility across the Studio slate.
Maintain accurate forecasting assumptions and identify key financial drivers
Support longer-term financial planning as the Studio and its slate continue to grow.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
Develop financial models to evaluate new productions and business opportunities.
Support financial analysis of potential investments, partnerships, sponsorships, and other revenue opportunities.
Perform scenario analysis to evaluate project economics, financing options, and cash flow requirements.
Support greenlight and profitability analyses for new projects.
Partner with Sales and other Studio teams to evaluate project economics and potential revenue scenarios.
Corporate Finance & Accounting Partnership
Serve as the primary liaison between Live Nation Studios and Corporate Finance and Accounting.
Partner with Corporate Accounting to ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting and project close.
Ensure Studio financial processes align with corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
Establish clear processes for sharing financial information between the Studio and Corporate teams
Improve financial reporting processes so Studio leadership has timely access to accurate financial information.
Operational Excellence
Develop scalable financial processes to support a growing slate of productions.
Improve financial workflows, reporting, and forecasting processes.
Identify opportunities to streamline or automate financial reporting
Establish financial best practices across Studio projects.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL RING
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
10 - 12 years of experience in finance, accounting, production finance, or a related discipline.
Experience supporting film, television, media, live entertainment, or other content businesses strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of production accounting, budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Experience working within a larger corporate accounting or finance organization.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Experience partnering with production and executive leadership
Preferred
CPA and/or MBA.
Direct production accounting or production finance experience
Experience with tax incentives and production financing
Experience with financial planning and analysis
Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (Oracle preferred)
Success Measures
Within the first year, this role will:
Establish clear and timely financial visibility across the Live Nation Studios slate.
Enable Studio leadership to understand current spend, forecasts, and projected final costs without relying on ad hoc reporting from Corporate Accounting.
Improve production cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Strengthen the partnership and flow of information between Live Nation Studios and Corporate Finance and Accounting.
Develop consistent financial reporting and dashboards for Studio leadership.
Build financial modeling capabilities to support greenlight decisions and new business opportunities
Establish scalable financial processes that can support the continued growth of the Studio

The expected compensation for this position is:
$128,000.00 USD - $160,000.00 USD** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
