The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Transaction Finance Specialist in IT Mergers & Acquisitions, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world leading acquisition and divestiture activities as part of the broader IT M&A organization at Solventum.
Here, you will make an impact by:
Supporting assigned IT M&A transaction workstreams by developing plans, managing timelines, tracking dependencies, identifying risks, building and managing transaction budgets, forecasts, actuals, accruals, invoice tracking, settlement activities, and financial reporting for acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, separations, and TSAs
Supporting IT due diligence, transaction planning, Transition Services Agreement (TSA) delivery, and TSA exit activities by partnering with IT functional teams to assess business requirements, and building financial models and analyses supporting one-time separation costs, ongoing run-rate costs, TSA pricing, recovery, stranded costs, synergy realization, transition investments, and value capture objectives throughout the transaction lifecycle
Partnering with IT, Finance, IMO, Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders to establish financial assumptions, validate cost estimates, manage financial governance processes, and ensure alignment between transaction objectives, operating plans, and funding requirements.
Driving financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and governance activities across complex acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, separations, and TSA programs, ensuring financial transparency, cost control, funding alignment, and executive decision support throughout the transaction lifecycle including actual versus forecast performance, resource requirements, value realization opportunities associated with transaction activities
Supporting continuous improvement of IT M&A financial management capabilities through refinement of acquisition and divestiture playbooks, financial tools, models, cost estimation methodology, governance, lessons learned, reporting mechanisms, and operational best practices to improve future transaction execution.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Master’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Technology, Strategy, Finance or a related discipline from a top tier institute and a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT or IT Finance including 2+ years supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integration, separation, or business transformation activities
OR
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university or High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of 6 years of experience in IT or IT Finance, including 3+ years supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integration, separation, or business transformation activities
Minimum 4 years working with global IT organizations supporting complex technology programs, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, digital transformation, or enterprise technology initiatives as part of Transformation/Deal Management office
Demonstrated ability to build financial models, perform scenario analysis, forecasts, evaluate risks, and provide recommendations supporting business and technology decisions.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience supporting IT due diligence, Day 1 readiness, TSA planning, TSA execution, TSA exit, integration, separation, or carve-out activities in a Consulting firm or as part of M&A office or transformation office in an organization
Understanding of technology cost management, financial planning, value realization, and business case development in M&A environments
Strong understanding of transaction financial concepts including one-time costs, run-rate costs, stranded costs, synergy tracking, value realization, cost allocation methodologies, and business case development.
Strong communication skills proven ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional alignment, manage competing priorities, and drive execution in highly matrixed organizations.
Familiarity with AI tools, Microsoft Power Platform, Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar collaboration and reporting technologies.
