Join the Weimer Bearing team as our next HR Generalist!
We are looking for an experienced, people-focused HR professional with 2+ years of HR Generalist experience to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working directly with employees and managers, balancing day-to-day HR responsibilities, with opportunities to improve processes and strengthen our workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of a broad range of HR functions.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations.
- Administer payroll, employee benefits, FMLA, workers' compensation, and leave programs.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records.
- Help manage an effective full-cycle recruitment and hiring process, creating a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, company events, and employee recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Plan and conduct new-hire onboarding, orientation, and employee training.
- Administer and coordinate the employee performance review process.
- Process important employee documentation, including benefits and tax information.
- Review and approve time-off requests and assist with creating employee work schedules.
- Become a super-user of our Paylocity HRIS, helping ensure the system is used effectively and accurately.
- Support additional HR initiatives and projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position.
- Experience with payroll, benefits, leave administration, and employee relations.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees, managers, and leadership.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with an HRIS system; Paylocity experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing or industrial HR experience is preferred, but not required.
