Want to run meaningful, technically demanding projects without living out of a suitcase?
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join an established General Contractor supporting long-term federal construction work.
This is a strong opportunity for a PM who understands the additional layers that come with federal/government construction and can own a project from preconstruction through closeout.
Why Work With Us
- Long-term in Fort Stewart and surrounding areas
- Local projects with no overnight travel
- Stable pipeline of commercial/federal/government work
- Opportunity to work on complex, technically demanding projects
- Established General Contractor
- High level of project ownership and autonomy
- Work alongside experienced field and project leadership
- Opportunity to build a long-term career instead of chasing projects around the country
- Medical benefit package
- 3 weeks PTO plus 10 paid holidays
- Vehicle allowance and gas card
- Matching 401k and more
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take ownership of your projects from planning through successful closeout.
- Own project budget, schedule, cost control and forecasting
- Partner closely with the Superintendent and field team
- Manage subcontractors, vendors and project partners
- Lead subcontractor buyout and procurement
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
- Review drawings, specifications and contract requirements
- Lead owner/client meetings
- Track project progress, costs and schedule performance
- Coordinate inspections and quality requirements
- Drive safety, quality and schedule expectations
- Identify issues early and develop solutions before they impact the job
- Manage punch list, closeout and turnover
- Maintain the documentation and attention to detail required on federal projects
What You Bring
- 4+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
- Commercial, institutional or federal construction experience
- Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings and specifications
- Subcontractor and multi-trade management experience
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders and procurement
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with owners, government representatives, subcontractors and field teams
- Federal construction experience strongly preferred
- Experience in occupied, secure or technically complex facilities is a plus
Who We’re Looking For
We’re not looking for someone who simply keeps the paperwork moving.
We want a PM who owns the job. Someone who knows their numbers, understands what’s happening in the field, stays ahead of problems and can confidently represent the company in front of the client.
