Position Summary...
About the Team:The Brand Experiences & Partnerships team creates culturally relevant experiences and partnerships that bring the Walmart brand to life in meaningful, memorable ways. Across experiential, sports and fandom marketing, strategic partnerships and connected digital experiences, the team builds stronger customer connections, shifts perceptions and supports long-term brand and business growth.
The Role:
As Senior Manager of Sports Marketing & Fandoms, you will serve as the day-to-day operating lead for Walmart’s growing sports marketing portfolio. Reporting into the Head of Sports Marketing, you will translate the broader portfolio strategy into action – driving the planning, coordination, and cross-channel activation required to bring complex, multifaceted partnerships to life across the Walmart business.
This includes leading the activation and integrated marketing of Walmart Soccer – our multi-year platform spanning league and media partnerships, marquee events and fan experiences, content, talent and creator integrations, and culturally relevant brand campaigns – while helping expand Walmart’s footprint over time into future opportunities at the intersection of sport, culture, and customer passion.
You will help build the next chapter of Walmart’s sports marketing platform at a moment of significant growth and ambition, combining big-picture thinking with hands-on, day-to-day leadership. You will steward key partner and agency relationships, lead interconnected workstreams, and coordinate the timelines, approvals, and dependencies required to move partnerships forward. Working closely with leaders across brand, experiential, media, social, comms, legal, finance, consumer insights and other functions, you will anticipate challenges, resolve executional issues, and draw on performance, consumer, and marketplace learnings to identify new opportunities, inform where the portfolio goes next, and develop executive-ready recommendations for senior leadership.
This role is based in our Hoboken, NJ office and is not remote. Travel of up to 10% is required to represent the partnership at different Walmart experiences and industry conferences.
