Your Role: You’ll join a close-knit group of developers reporting to the development manager, working on some of the UK’s most trusted fintech products — including Equisoft/transfer, /pay, /trade and Pension Fusion.

These SaaS solutions power key processes for leading investment and pension providers: transferring portfolios, handling pension payroll and tax reporting, and providing data for the UK Government’s Pensions Dashboard Programme — a national initiative that will let individuals see all their pensions in one place.

We’re looking for a developer with a focus on front-end technologies, particularly React, to help modernize our products. We’re not just looking for someone to build what’s in front of them — we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us, contribute ideas, and help shape the front-end of our products. As all our developers work across the full stack, you should also be comfortable working with other technologies such as .NET, C# and SQL Server.

Your Day with Equisoft:

• Design and implement new features and products and build upon the application architecture for our range of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products. For us, this means writing code that is user centric, robust, high-performance and secure.
• Most of your development time will be spent with .NET and C# but we require all developers to work with our JavaScript front-end and our SQL Server database as well.
• Conduct unit testing, using a test-driven development approach where appropriate and work closely with the test team to ensure the quality of the software.
• Submit your code for review by colleagues to identify issues early.
• Review your colleagues’ code. We want to benefit from your input and expertise!
• Actively participating in the various agile meetings (the daily, retrospective, etc.) of your team. We want to hear your opinions!

Requirements:   

Technical

• Around 3–5 years’ experience as a developer (or equivalent capability).
• Experience with front-end technologies: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Comfortable working across a stack including C#, .NET and SQL Server.
• Experience collaborating in small, cross-functional teams.
• Clear written and spoken English.

We care more about skill, curiosity, and drive than about degrees. If you’ve learned your craft through experience rather than academia, that’s absolutely fine.
