The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accountant - Partner Accounting to join our Firm. This position will be based in our White Plains office (hybrid).The Accountant – Partner Accounting assists and supports the Partner Accounting team (in the Firm Tax department) with monitoring and maintaining the overall process of Partner Capital and with the development and implementation of partner accounting system processes.
- Assists with preparing, compiling, analyzing, and reconciling Partner financial information including Partner distributions.
- Assists with preparing cash flow analysis for new and lateral Partners.
- Assists with preparing and maintains Partner quarterly income memos and various income reports using Excel spreadsheets and the Partner accounting system.
- Assists with maintaining accurate Partner records and supporting materials for prepared schedules.
- Understands and utilizes the Partner accounting system features in order to handle requests for information.
- Provides inter-departmental support in analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts relating to Partner distribution/payment accounts.
- Supports the year processes including preparing year-end income and capital schedules.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual Partner accounts budget.
- Assists with special projects related to the Partner accounting system developments.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
- Manages Firm resources responsibly.
- Regular and reliable physical presence to work as part of a team.
- Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities, with strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while handling sensitive matters with discretion and flexibility
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting
- Minimum of two years related experience

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
