Description
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a EHS Manager. The position will be based at our Greenwood, SC facility. We are offering relocation assistance for candidates who live within the U.S.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

## What you’ll do:
The EHS Manager is responsible for facilitating risk assessment at low/med risk site based on advance knowledge of regulatory requirements. Establishing and directing development and achievement of EHS objectives and targets. Maintaining site certifications, ensuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics and closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings, managing intermediate communication with public/government authorities. Directing actions during crises. Facilitating risk assessment at site based on advance knowledge of regulatory requirements. Determining leading/lagging indicators to track performance. Supporting creation of goals for the site manager and appropriate goals for leadership team, functional managers, and supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. Working with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, local regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain the facility in EPA and OSHA compliance.
- Administer the Safety and Environmental program according to guidelines set forth by Corporate Policy and management objectives.
- Maintain a strong and viable Safety Council program and ensure a safe and healthful workplace for employees.
- Partner with OPEX team and Operations to drive Continuous Improvement Framework including CI For Everyone.
- Provide mandatory and/or other necessary Safety and Environmental training to employees.
- Prepare and submit Environmental Permits and reports and comply with other OSHA and EPA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
- Administer MESH program and Partner with Operations teams to implement a proactive safety culture.
- Coordinate plant security and loss control efforts.
- Improve Employee Engagement by actively partnering with ALL plant personnel on safety programs (e.g. Eyes Wide Open, Find It Fix It, Safety Observations, etc.).
## Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum 3 years of manager of people experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) within a manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Management, Environmental Science from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles
- Experience in electrical assemblies or engineered to order business.
## Skills:
POSITION CRITERIA:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, State and Local laws and regulations.
- The employee shall have a working knowledge of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and an awareness of all environmental aspects associated with or located in his/her respective department or section or area of control.
- Knowledge of Worker's Compensation.
- Computer Skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
