Location & Work Model

Our Credit team works in a hybrid model, combining remote work flexibility with in-person collaboration at our São Paulo office, one week a month.

 

About the role 

Reports to the Credit Director. Owns the credit policy and pricing for QuintoAndar's financial products, both current (like rent anticipation) and those we are about to launch in our ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a highly senior, "AI First" credit structure. You will have the autonomy to design strategies that function less like a traditional bank and more like a data science environment, fostering a horizontal and hands-on culture.

What this person will do

• Lead the design and evolution of credit policies and pricing for financial products, starting as an individual contributor and building a robust team of senior specialists.
• Operate within a marketplace ecosystem, offering credit solutions that solve real needs for our existing clients (e.g., landlords and tenants), creating a virtuous cycle rather than standard open-market prospecting.
• Structure the team's experimentation agenda (hypothesis, test design, holdout, reading results) ensuring decisions are rigorously backed by data and close to data science practices.
• Identify where AI can improve policies, pricing, or processes, validating and implementing these innovations to scale our financial products.
• Act as Credit's main point of contact with Data, Product & Tech (P&T), Treasury, Strategy, and Growth, ensuring seamless product launches and alignment.
• Maintain the health of our ecosystem by balancing profitability with customer retention, avoiding abusive interest rates and keeping clients active in the QuintoAndar platform.

What we're looking for

• Solid and proven experience in credit risk, having navigated through roles involving policy, modeling, pricing, or portfolio management.
• Experience managing specific credit products such as personal loans or working capital.
• A strong analytical bar and a genuine curiosity for AI and new technological techniques.
• An owner's mindset and a hands-on approach. Familiarity with tools like Python, GitHub, Airflow, or Databricks is considered a strong plus.
• Knowledge of banking regulations (such as IFRS 9 and BCB 4966).
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across different areas (technical and business) and build structures from the ground up.
• Bonus: A career path that ideally blends the solid risk foundations of an incumbent bank with the fast-paced, generalist agility of a fintech or digital bank.
