Your New Role

• NAB is developing a new capability to manage all hazards to the Group – NAB Command Centre (NCC). The NCC Cyber Analyst will be crucial in the NCC, responsible for triaging security alerts, maintaining situational awareness of activities within the environment, and serving as a conduit of information between the NCC, Cyber Response and Data Protection teams. This ensures that all teams have visibility of major incidents across the group.

• Exceed key metrics demonstrating time to response and time to close incidents, while maintaining quality.
• Monitor SIEM and security dashboards (Splunk, Phantom, ServiceNow, JIRA, Purview) for alerts and anomalies.
• Follow playbook-driven procedures for event/alert triage and response.
• Log, categorise, and document incidents in the ticketing system; maintain ticket hygiene.
• Escalate non-standard or complex alerts to the Data Protection and Cyber Response teams as per escalation thresholds/triggers.
• Participate in structured handovers and ensure accurate documentation of incidents and actions taken.

What Will You Bring

• 3-7 years of Technology experience
• Preferred 1+ year using Splunk or other monitoring/observability/SIEM solutions
• Preferred knowledge of security controls such as mail, gateway, EDR, Purview, firewall etc
• Basic knowledge of networking, OS, SIEM/Log analysis, data, and security fundamentals
• Comfortable working in 24*7 support
• Monitoring and Analysis: The ability to monitor SIEM and security dashboards (Splunk, Phantom, ServiceNow, JIRA, Purview) for alerts and anomalies.
• Procedure Adherence: Proficiency in following playbook-driven procedures for event/alert triage and response.
• Incident Management: Skill in logging, categorising, and documenting incidents in the ticketing system while maintaining ticket hygiene.
• Escalation: Capability to escalate non-standard or complex alerts to the Cyber Response and Data Protection teams as per escalation thresholds.
• Communication and Documentation: Active participation in structured handovers and ensuring accurate documentation of incidents and actions taken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
