About the role
We’re looking for a seasoned risk & compliance leader who is customer focused, pragmatic and outcomes and data-driven. As an early stage startup, you are comfortable both influencing senior stakeholders, and ‘doing the doing’ while working at pace. You should have a passion for driving a positive risk culture, managing risk and compliance as part of your everyday, with a focus on AI and automation. You need experience in solving complex business problems and are comfortable diving into the detail.
Your responsibilities
Developing, implementing and embedding a fit for purpose compliance and risk framework including:
Development of obligations and risk profile
Proactively managing and identifying obligations and risks within risk appetite
Working with x15 Risk, ensuring that the venture understands its obligations and remains compliant through business development and change
Developing technology that supports automated compliance by design; and
Providing compliance guidance and expertise in the day-to-day running of the business.
Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents (including issues identified through audits and external processes), and implementing control improvements to address the identified gaps.
Risk management in line with CBA Operational & Compliance Risk Frameworks:
Develop and maintain risk and compliance tools
Develop controls and support with Control Assurance Programme (CAP) testing
Support the closeout issues through robust control design, build and testing
Manage all compliance obligations (licensing, statutory and Group) and obligations matrix
Build and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including:
X15 Risk and Compliance, Line 2 Risk and Compliance, Financial Crimes Compliance and x15/CBA Legal.
What we are looking for:
Deep obligations, compliance and risk management experience.
Demonstrated end-to-end risk experience in banking (and ideally payments)
Compliance and regulatory expertise
Experience in controls automation and working across risk and technology teams
A passion for moving at pace and a willingness to be hands on and dive into the detail.
