What we’re looking for:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment and utility systems in the chemical plant through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability improvement, statutory compliance, and project execution.
Responsibilities:
•Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
•Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
•Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
•Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
•Conduct root cause analysis and drive process improvements.
•Coordinate with production, PSM, EHS, and maintenance teams.
•Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.
•Maintenance of pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, agitators, fans, centrifuges, vacuum pumps, and cooling tower fans.
•Corrosion management and integrity assessment.
•Maintenance of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, storage tanks, scrubbers, and pipelines.
•Manage spare parts inventory and critical spares.
EHS responsibilities:
•To follow site EHS and procedure and best practices
•Read and understand relevant procedure and perform the work safely.
•Support site EHS in safety campaign, Safety observations to prevent the injuries.
•Follow the site PSM procedure and implement the PSM culture
•Participating in HAZOP, PSSR, MOC, and risk assessments
•Ensure safe work permit system implementation.
•Support audits and regulatory inspections
Required Knowledge/Skills:
•Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices.
•Good communication and teamwork skills.
•Strong knowledge of SAP PM module.
Required Experience:
• 4-6 years of experience in maintenance or mechanical engineering roles
Required Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.E./B. Tech).
-Professional engineering certifications or specialized technical training will be an added advantage.
