For more than 90 years, we have helped contractors, engineers and public agencies solve complex infrastructure challenges. We're looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to help drive our next stage of growth.

This role is for someone who understands the bridge, transportation or heavy civil infrastructure market, has established industry relationships, and can hit the ground running. We're looking for someone with the technical credibility to work with engineers and project teams, the relationships to open doors, and the commercial drive to turn opportunities into awarded projects.

What You'll Do

• Develop and expand relationships with contractors, engineering firms, DOTs, municipalities and other infrastructure partners.
• Leverage existing relationships to identify and pursue new bridge and infrastructure opportunities.
• Engage customers and engineers early in the planning and design process to position U.S. Bridge for future projects.
• Work with customers to understand project requirements and develop technically sound, commercially competitive solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial identification through estimating, proposal development, negotiation and award.
• Review plans, specifications and bid documents and coordinate with engineering, estimating, manufacturing and operations.
• Build and manage an active sales pipeline and provide accurate opportunity forecasting.
• Represent U.S. Bridge at customer meetings, industry events, conferences and trade shows.
• Maintain customer relationships throughout project delivery to drive repeat business and future opportunities.

Who We're Looking For

The strongest candidate will bring established relationships and a proven track record in the bridge, transportation, heavy civil or infrastructure markets.

You understand how infrastructure projects move from concept and design through bidding, award and construction. You know the industry, know how to build credibility with technical and commercial decision-makers, and understand the value of getting involved before a project reaches the bid stage.

Most importantly, you don't simply wait for opportunities to arrive. You create opportunities, build relationships and win business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in technical sales, engineering, bridge construction, heavy civil or transportation infrastructure.
• Existing relationships within the bridge, heavy civil or transportation infrastructure market strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop new business and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, plans and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 20%.
• P.E. licensure is a plus, but not required.
