Purpose of the role

To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
  • Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
  • Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
  • Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
  • Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.

Join us as an “Analyst | Financial Crime Validation Office” in which you will be working as part of a holistic group across London, Glasgow and India.  In this role you will be responsible for validating s166 regulatory findings. This role will cover various areas of financial crime with a primary focus on AML.

To be successful as an “Analyst | Financial Crime Validation Office”, you should have experience with:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Experience within financial services.
  • Understanding of Financial Crime.
  • Understanding of Internal Audit.
  • Good understanding of risk and control in financial services.
  • Understanding of the UK Regulators and UK Financial Crime regulatory requirements.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Data Analytics experience/knowledge.
  • Understanding of the Financial Crime landscape.
