What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients alongside Risk Advisors and Executive Client Managers.
- Lead new business and renewal processes from strategy through placement.
- Analyze client exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Review underwriting data, including loss ratios, experience modification ratings, and audit disputes.
- Prepare submissions, negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and commissions with insurance carriers.
- Develop marketing strategies for new and renewal business.
- Conduct contract and lease reviews to identify insurance and risk compliance issues.
- Review Certificates of Insurance and advise clients on contractual compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Ensure documentation accuracy while minimizing Errors and Omissions exposure.
What you'll need
- Current California Property and Casualty Insurance License.
- Five or more years of commercial lines client management experience.
- Commercial insurance industry designations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial coverages, underwriting, renewals, and carrier negotiations.
- Experience managing complex commercial accounts.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
