Provides quality direct patient care and assists in the coordination of department services. Patient care may include evaluating, treating, care management, referral coordination and follow-up with specialists, and health education. This role provides training to medical staff and instructs and counsels patients.Job Description:

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Collect, record and maintain patient information including medical history, reports and examination results.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.
- Advise, patients, family and community members concerning treatment and prevention.
- Examine patients or order, perform and/r interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnoses.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
EDUCATION:
Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited medical school
Other: Successful completion of a medical residency program.
Other: Successful completion of a medical internship program.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years recent relevant experience.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
MD-Doctor of Medicine Upon Hire
OR DO-Doctor of Osteopathy of California Upon Hire
CSRC-Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA) Upon Hire
Board eligible or Board certified in area of specialty Upon Hire

Pay Range is $265,512.00 to $421,948.80 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
