Description
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 6+ years of experience in Software Applications Engineering or Software Development. 2+ years of experience with debugging techniques. 3+ years of programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, Python. 1+ year of experience interacting with leadership. Experience in a customer-facing role. Experience in embedded software development and debugging. Expertise in multimedia technologies in one or more areas: Audio, Display, Graphics, Camera, Video. Familiarity with high-level operating systems (Linux, Android) or real-time operating systems (QNX). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies. Live and post-mortem debugging. Hypervisors and virtualization. Graphics APIs (OpenGL, OpenGLES, Vulkan, OpenCL). Audio frameworks and drivers. Display and camera drivers/controllers. GPU buffer management and shader architecture. Video/Audio codecs (HEVC, H.264, MP3, AAC). System performance profiling and optimization. Linux kernel concepts. Debugging tools (JTAG, Trace32, oscilloscope/logic analyzer). Drive the firmware design, implementation and verification, in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. Actively engage with open source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features Assist in identifying skills requirements and in hiring engineers, collaborating with other teams on platform bring-up/debug/diags, firmware lifecycle, etc.
