Team Overview
The Market Development, Insurance LATAM role is responsible for accelerating insurance market growth for TransUnion across LATAM with a priority of Mexico. The role serves as the insurance industry subject matter expert and strategic advisor, helping identify, develop, and commercialize opportunities across Life, Health, Property & Casualty, and other insurance segments. The position acts as the voice of the customer, developing deep insight into insurers’ critical business issues and translating those needs into scalable go-to-market strategies, sales playbooks, thought leadership, and growth initiatives. Working closely with Sales, Solutions, Product, Marketing, and regional leadership, the role will foster insurance sales growth, strengthen client engagement, and support the development of new use cases across the insurance policy lifecycle. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Lead insurance market development activities across LATAM and other markets as deemed necessary.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of insurer priorities, market dynamics, fraud challenges, underwriting needs, claims optimization opportunities, regulatory developments, distribution models, and digital transformation trends.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer by regularly engaging insurers, industry bodies, regulators, partners, and market stakeholders.
- Develop insurance growth strategies and market development plans aligned to TransUnion objectives.
- Create and maintain market development playbooks, industry use cases, value propositions, and best practices for Life, Health, and P&C insurers.
- Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities, support strategic pursuits, and accelerate pipeline growth.
- Develop market intelligence, competitive analysis, and industry insights.
- Identify opportunities for new products, enhancements, and use cases based on customer needs and market gaps.
- Collaborate with Product, Solutions, Marketing, and GTM teams to commercialize insurance solutions.
- Support thought leadership campaigns, industry events, executive forums, and client advisory engagements.
- Leverage global insurance best practices and adapt them for the Mexican market.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Meet with insurance clients and prospects.
- Conduct industry research and opportunity assessments.
- Analyze customer business issues and map TransUnion capabilities to client needs.
- Support development of customer-facing presentations, market analyses, and business cases, in partnership with functional stakeholders.
- Support strategic deals and account planning initiatives.
- Deliver industry/vertical training and enablement to sales teams.
- Monitor market developments and competitor activity.
- Work effectively and collaboratively across International, Insurance CoE, and local teams.
Measures of Success
- Growth in insurance revenue opportunities and pipeline.
- Increased engagement with LATAM/Mexican insurers.
- Adoption of insurance playbooks and market development assets.
- Identification and commercialization of new insurance use cases.
- Positive customer and stakeholder feedback.
- Contribution to strategic growth objectives within the LATAM/Mexico insurance market.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- 8+ years of insurance industry, market development, business development, consulting, product, or strategy experience.
- Deep knowledge of the LATAM/Mexican insurance market and relevant associations.
- Understanding of Life, Health, and Property & Casualty insurance value chains.
- Experience developing commercial strategies and go-to-market initiatives.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams in matrix organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Insurance, data, analytics, or financial services experience preferred.
- Bilingual capability (Spanish/English).
