The Role
FAAC Technologies is looking for a Project Manager to join its Headquarters in Zola Predosa (Bologna).
The successful candidate will join the Product Portfolio team within the R&D Department and will be responsible for leading the Obeya environment, driving cross-functional collaboration, visual management and alignment among stakeholders to support the successful delivery of product development projects in line with Lean Thinking principles.
Key Responsabilities
- Lead assigned product development projects, ensuring achievement of targets related to time-to-market, product cost, CAPEX/OPEX and overall business objectives.
- Define, develop and maintain integrated project plans, coordinating scope, milestones, deliverables, resources and cross-functional activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and engage multidisciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous learning and high performance.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, alignment of expectations, timely decision-making and resolution of project issues.
- Monitor project execution and performance through KPIs, visual management practices within the Obeya environment and digital project management tools, ensuring full visibility of progress, risks and opportunities.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and resources, ensuring effective cost control and optimal allocation of workloads across all project activities.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, driving corrective and contingency actions to minimize impacts on project objectives.
- Coordinate all stakeholders involved in product development, including the Obeya team and cross-functional contributors, ensuring alignment and effective execution.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, processes and documentation standards, including the accuracy and proper archiving of technical documentation.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership (Head of Product Portfolio, Product Portfolio Director and CTO) on project status, performance and key risks, while supporting portfolio planning and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) activities.
- Drive continuous improvement by promoting best practices, standardizing methodologies and capturing lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.
What do You need to be successful?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Mechanical or Management Engineering).
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams within a cross-functional and international environment.
- 5–10 years of experience in project management, preferably within product development and/or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies; PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive alignment across multiple functions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional languages will be considered as a plus.
- Availability to travel internationally when required.
What do we offer:
Contract type: Permanent employment contract governed by the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) Confapi Metalmeccanica (CNEL C018).
Gross Annual Salary (RAL): €50.000-55.000, depending on professional experience, technical skills, and how well the profile matches the requirements of the position.
Variable remuneration:
- Annual company performance bonus of up to €2,500 (gross)
