Job Description/Responsibilities
Build the Financial Engine Behind Some of the World's Most Award-Winning Spirits

As an Operations Accountant, you'll partner directly with manufacturing and supply chain leaders to improve inventory accuracy, optimize costs, and provide the financial insights that keep our operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do
As a key member of the Operations Finance team, you will:
- Lead month-end close activities including inventory accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, production variances, and operational performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Operations to forecast costs, support budgeting, and improve financial visibility.
- Own inventory accounting, asset control, and physical inventory processes to ensure financial accuracy.
- Support standard cost development, Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance, routing accuracy, and new item setup.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and provide financial recommendations that improve operational efficiency.
- Develop meaningful KPIs and reporting dashboards that help leaders make data-driven decisions.
- Become the site's subject matter expert for COGNOS reporting and NBD system setup.
- Strengthen inventory controls and help develop best practices across manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to drive business performance.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably supporting manufacturing or operations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), food & beverage, manufacturing, or beverage alcohol industries
- Budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning experience
- Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing reporting tools, or COGNOS
- Experience developing queries or working with AS400 or similar manufacturing systems
