## Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student- Warehouse Health Engineer for JD Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, Illinois, you will:
- Provide engineering support to various warehouse departments, regional distribution centers, operations, and engineering staff.
- Support engineering projects to drive improvements in key business metrics.
- Utilize data tools to analyze key warehouse processes, data, and metrics.
- Design warehouse layouts for optimal material flow and density
- Assist with new system and process integrations
This position is not available to students on immigration visas
## What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a STEM-related degree; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
- Graduation date of May 2029 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
- Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the work location on scheduled workdays
## What Makes You Stand Out
- Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools such as AutoCAD or Minitab, Solidworks, Creo.
- Knowledge of computer programming languages such as SQL and Python and reporting tools such as Tableau and PowerBI to analytically interpret data.
- Experience using engineering tools, systems, and databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Self-starter with high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication skills working with a diverse group of stakeholders
