We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Thin Film Deposition Researcher / Process Engineer to drive innovation in our advanced materials division. In this role, you will lead the evaluation and development of novel organometallic precursors utilized in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) processes. You will be responsible for process optimization, hands-on thin film deposition, and comprehensive material characterization to ensure the fabricated films meet the rigorous standards required for next-generation semiconductor and electronics applications.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a Thin Film Deposition Researcher, you will operate with a high level of autonomy to advance our R&D pipeline and maintain our strong reputation in the field. Your main responsibilities will include:

·        Process & Deposition: Serve as the technical specialist for ALD/CVD thin film deposition using organometallic and/or silicon-based compounds.

·        Thin Film Analysis: Perform advanced thin-film characterization using techniques such as Ellipsometry, XPS, SEM, AFM, FT-IR, and XRD, and lead the interpretation of the resulting data.

·        Project Leadership: Lead and organize technical tasks within designated work packages and projects, proactively tackling challenging engineering problems.

·        Reporting & Communication: Deliver timely, concise, and professional R&D reports, contribute to patent applications, and present findings effectively during internal and customer meetings.

·        Collaboration & Mentorship: Actively sustain positive interactions within the AL group and with external customers. Mentor junior researchers and interns to foster team growth.

Equipment & Safety: Proactively maintain ALD/CVD deposition tools and actively participate in all company safety activities.

Education & Experience

• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related R&D engineering discipline.
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of strong, proven experience working in a relevant academic or corporate R&D laboratory environment.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Thin Film Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on expertise in ALD/CVD thin film deposition using organometallic and/or silicon-based compounds.
• Material Characterization: Proficiency with thin-film analysis and characterization tools, including but not limited to Ellipsometry, XPS, SEM, AFM, FT-IR, and XRD.
• Project & Autonomy: Proven ability to work fully autonomously, manage project workflows, and solve complex technical challenges.
• Hazardous Materials (Strong Plus): Experience handling pyrophoric, toxic, and combustible materials. (Candidates without prior experience must demonstrate the aptitude to quickly learn and adopt these strict safety protocols).

Language & Interpersonal Skills

• English: Business-level proficiency (written and spoken) is required. All daily operations, email exchanges, documentation, and meetings are conducted in English.
• Korean: Conversational level is a strong plus.

Interpersonal Attributes: Effective team player with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate successfully within a diverse, international environment.
