Education and experience requirements: These requirements are at the discretion of the Chief
Executive Officer but generally include a 4 year degree.
Duties:
- Oversee the engineering functions of the company and manage both internal and outside resources as required and prioritized.
- Oversee industrial engineering efforts emphasizing cost reduction analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Oversee operation of all kilns.
- Oversee the identification, development and periodic review of facility management activities in accordance with continuous improvement goals, or as necessary and required.
- Responsible for the evaluation of proposed projects (i.e., ROI) including written documentation of the effectiveness of all facility and process changes after project completion.
- Responsible for prioritizing projects in accordance with existing constraints involving executive management as required.
- Supervise engineering projects to completion.
- Supervise estimating department ensuring quotations are completed as per departmental established goals.
- Supervise I.T. Department. Evaluates and approves all I.T. projects. Works with I.T. Director to maintain and improve computerized work system.
- Responsible for coordinating periodic update of the costing system involving executive management as required.
- Member of management review team.
- Authorized as an officer of the company to execute legal documents on behalf of the company.
May be assigned any other miscellaneous duties as required by the QA Manager and/or executive management.
