This position is based in Vadodara, India as a permanent work-from-office role. The standard shift is 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST. 

Engineering Leadership

• Lead multiple software development teams by providing day-to-day coaching, mentorship, performance management, roadmap delivery planning, and release coordination.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture built on accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Establish clear expectations, career development plans, and growth opportunities for engineers and technical leads.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent aligned with Qualifacts' values and culture.

Delivery Excellence

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architecture, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver high-quality software on predictable schedules.
• Lead Agile/Scrum execution while continuously improving team efficiency, delivery predictability, and engineering effectiveness.
• Proactively identify delivery risks, remove impediments, and ensure successful delivery and release execution.
• Drive accountability for meeting commitments while balancing speed, quality, and sustainability.

AI-Driven Engineering

• Champion the responsible adoption of AI-assisted software development practices across engineering teams.
• Encourage effective use of AI-powered development tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, code reviews, troubleshooting, and developer productivity.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and innovation as engineering practices evolve.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical solutions that improve engineering effectiveness while maintaining security, compliance, and software quality.
• Coach engineers on leveraging AI responsibly while preserving sound engineering judgment and technical excellence.

Technical Leadership

• Establish and maintain a high bar for software quality through engineering best practices, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
• Ensure compliance with internal design, coding, documentation, security, and architectural standards.
• Promote modern software architecture patterns for cloud-native, container-based, and distributed applications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, AI capabilities, cloud platforms, and software engineering trends.

Engineering Excellence & Metrics

• Utilize engineering KPIs and operational metrics to improve:
  • Delivery predictability
  • Delivery performance
  • Software quality
  • Production stability
  • Team productivity
  • Engineering efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security to ensure successful software delivery.
• Promote shared ownership of quality, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
• Support organizational initiatives that improve engineering maturity, developer experience, and technology adoption.
• Communicate effectively across technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful execution.
