Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
Customer Services
- Supervisory responsibilities for staff leading prevention programs in the Newark site.
- Provide a comprehensive orientation of all new prevention staff and ensure compliance with all required protocols for CDC, department of health grants.
- Coordinates HIV prevention retreats in concert with other prevention staff.
- Coordinate Self testing kit programs with grass root agencies
- Monitor all HIV testing activities including partner agency activities for self-testing kits
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building for all prevention programs and staff to ensure the highest quality in the delivery of services.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain social media campaigns for specified populations
- In conjunction with the Director of Prevention and Statewide CTR Manager, develop protocol, procedures, and marketing for PrEP awareness and community education.
- Represent Hyacinth at Essex County and NJ programs across, including HPG committees, state health awareness events and other community-level events.
- Implement a streamline procedure for developing activities throughout all of Hyacinth’s locations that are centered around CDC awareness day activities targeting these communities.
- Monitor the delivery of individual-level street and community outreach and health education/risk reduction activities such as community level and group level interventions, to ensure target population is being reached and goals and objectives are met.
- Work closely with all Regional Service Managers to ensure prevention of staff is engaged and responsive to regional activities, and to ensure appropriate supervision and professional development of prevention staff.
- Foster positive and collaborative relationships with community residents, community leaders’ local nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other community-based organizations to strengthen the implementation of PROMISE.
- Evaluate and develop plans to enhance program effectiveness.
- Ensure data collection as per agency procedures and funding requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality of all records.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Represent the agency at monthly NJHPG and Committee meetings.
- Monitor prevention staff’s completion of NJDOH and CDC required training.
- Conduct quarterly observation of EBI implementation for all group level interventions statewide.
- Conduct quarterly file audits for these prevention programs.
Reporting / Monitoring
- Review staffs completed intervention assessments, session tools and customer satisfaction evaluations
- Report and monitor gaps in services and neutral status referral barriers.
- Report social media outreach accumulative activities
- Conduct quality assurance of all eval-web reports, referrals and intervention documentation
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports, quarterly reports, and board reports.
- Complete and maintain data collection as required
- Conduct audits of program supplies and ensure that supplies are securely locked.
- Follow guidelines for proper medical waste disposal and protocols for blood borne pathogens
- Review referrals outcomes in the Referral Logbook
- Conduct audit client case records using approved agency forms and procedures.
- Monitor incentives provided by all program staff.
- Monitor the implementation of enhanced testing programs and Community PROMISE in accordance with CDC guidance.
- Monitor incentive programs including ordering supplies and distribution to program participants.
Hyacinth Representation / Advocacy
- Maintain working relationships with other community providers that provide services to focus populations
- Observe established administrative procedures
- Provide written reports and maintain statistics as required
- Represent the agency at community events, meetings, and conferences
- Adhere to Hyacinth policies and procedures including client confidentiality provisions
Training and Certifications
- Attend and participate in staff training opportunities
- Attend NJDOH and CDC required trainings and capacity building sessions
- Provide staff with in-house capacity building sessions
Requirements
Required Minimum Education: Master’s Degree Other: Supervision experience
Required Years of Related Experience: 2-4 years
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the field of HIV / AIDS
