Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Registry Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment through exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle access in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records while following applicable chemical and petrochemical location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
