Job Description:

What You Will Do

·     Partner with the VP/GM and Division Leadership Team to provide financial insight and recommendations for annual and long-range plans, growth initiatives, pricing, product and customer decisions, operational priorities, and talent investments.

·     Lead financial planning and forecasting, including monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews, the annual operating plan, and long-range planning, with clear assumptions, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

·     Prepare and communicate accurate monthly results, variance analysis, forecasts, and performance metrics that improve decision-making and accountability.

·     Oversee accounting and financial operations, including general and cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, capital spending, working capital, month-end close, and related controls, while ensuring compliance with ITW policies and reporting requirements.

·     Partner across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, and HR to evaluate performance and drive actions that improve organic growth, margins, cash flow, and return on investment, including analysis of capital projects, pricing, new products, customer programs, and make-versus-buy decisions.

·     Apply the ITW Business Model and 80/20 Front-to-Back thinking to simplify processes and reporting, strengthen financial discipline, and build, coach, and develop a high-performing Finance team.

What You Bring (Requirements)

·     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, MBA, or another advanced degree is preferred.

·     Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including financial reporting, analysis, planning, forecasting, cost accounting, internal controls, and operational accounting.

·     Minimum of 5 years of financial management experience with direct people leadership responsibility, including coaching, performance management, and team development.

·     Manufacturing finance experience. Experience as a Plant Controller, Division Controller, or finance leader in a decentralized manufacturing business is preferred.

·     Strong business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data, identify key drivers, influence across functions, exercise sound judgment, and translate insights into practical action.

·     Advanced Excel and financial systems skills, high integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to protect confidential information and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines. Experience with JD Edwards, business intelligence, forecasting, or dashboard tools is preferred. Ability to travel up to 20%.
