What you will do

The Senior Demand Planner works closely with Demand Manager, Supply planning, Trade Customization, Project Management and Commercial teams including Marketing, and Sales Strategy to develop Consensus Forecasts for New and Existing products through Integrated Business Planning Process. They manage the SKU shipment forecast development to meet Brand and Supply objectives and attain MAPE & Bias targets for forecast accuracy. 

  

 

Key Responsibilities  

• Owns Shipment Forecast at SKU and Brand level in the assigned Brands within his/her Franchise 

• Leads monthly forecasting meeting(s) and prepares supporting content (known now as Demand Supply Review (DSR)) and contributes to Internal Reconciliation Review (IRR) 

• Establishes collaborative relationships with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Finance, Trade Customization, and Sales Strategy 

• Uses Sales and Customer insights and data to inform the business plan and SKU forecast 

• Performs appropriate Statistical Analysis using shipment, consumption, and other sources of data 

• Works closely with Marketing and Customer Strategy to devise, prepare, and establish New Product Forecasts 

• Assists in preparing appropriate cannibalization assumptions 

• Works closely with Trade Customization and Customer Strategy to prepare Special Pack/Pre-Pack forecasts 

• Leverages SKU forecast performance results to drive discussion in Demand Supply Review 

• Helps define, prepare and publish key metrics reports to others within the department and across other departments 

• Manages process & system improvement projects 

• Supports long-term strategic business plan and financial plan updates 

• Facilitate the inclusion of SKU vulnerability impacts to business plan and SKU forecast 

• Supports Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory Management Process 

• Trains & Mentors planners and cross-functional colleagues 

• Department Data Lead for functional and master data for Demand Planning 

• Provides System Support around forecasting setup, maintenance, and general product hierarchy and makes recommendations for improvements 

• Troubleshoots System & Reporting Issues 

 

What we are looking for  

Required Qualifications  

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Management Science, Mathematics or Statistics 

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a supply chain or sales operations/category management or logistics or analytics function  

• Experience preferred in forecasting and demand planning in fast-moving consumer packaged goods 

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel as well as Business Warehouse reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, SAP BW, SAP BI HANA) 

• Experience and proficiency of SAP and APO or other forecasting software

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$72,000.00 - $116,150.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
