Job Description:
As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will have significant ownership of user experience and product design from concept to production. If you’re a proactive, creative thinker who enjoys collaborating across borders, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the design process from planning and prototyping to final production.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
· Develop and present high-quality renderings and prototypes to support marketing and sales initiatives.
· Balance design intent with quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
· Identify and communicate necessary design changes to international teams.
· Analyze product requirements to create functional, aesthetic designs that enhance the user experience.
· Ensure accurate implementation of color, material, and finish design in collaboration with manufacturers.

Specific Responsibilities
· Lead design projects to create compelling products with strong narratives and exceptional user experiences.
· Collaborate effectively with local teams and U.S. headquarters to align with business goals.
· Communicate design intent clearly to engineering teams and manufacturers to meet development objectives and timelines.
· Develop prototypes at various stages, including proof of concept, form and style samples, aesthetic models, and functional samples.
· Expertly use 2D and 3D software (e.g., Solidworks, ProE) to prepare technical documentation for production teams.
· Define and convey color, material, and finish (CMF) design through detailed specifications and master samples.
· Analyze CMF design options, considering cost, schedule, quality, and other factors to guide cross-functional team decisions.
· Generate and manage accurate CMF and cosmetic specifications.
· Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, industry methods, and emerging technologies.
· Develop a thorough understanding of company objectives with a proactive learning approach.
· Support marketing with high-quality renderings and presentation materials for product promotions.
· Mentor junior designers and engage with senior team members for continuous growth.
· Review and approve parts and products to ensure design integrity.
· Manage projects within defined budgets and timelines, as set by Program Management.
· Follow Belkin's brand and design guidelines consistently.
· Adhere to company policies and procedures.
· Perform additional duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Detailed Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.
· 8+ years of experience in Industrial Design, with a strong understanding of consumer electronics manufacturing and engineering.
· In-depth knowledge of production methods and materials.
· Proficiency in collaborating with mechanical engineering teams.
· Highly skilled in 3D CAD software (Solidworks or ProE), including C2 surface modeling.
· Excellent sketching, visual communication, and presentation skills.
· Expertise in delivering alternative design solutions in response to insurmountable manufacturing or cost challenges.
· Strong knowledge of CMF specifications and manufacturing methods; ability to provide effective feedback to suppliers.
· Experience in product development from conceptual sketches to prototypes and 3D models.
· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
· Ability to create photo-realistic renderings using software like Keyshot.
· Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal.
· Willingness to travel domestically. Ability to travel internationally is a plus.
