Working closely with 3PL partners, Transportation, Procurement, Planning, Customer Operations, and IT teams, this individual contributor drives daily inbound execution while identifying process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, compliance, and customer service.
This position will work onsite at HP's Mississauga Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily inbound operations, ensuring accurate and timely receipt, unloading, inspection, and system processing of inbound shipments in accordance with HP quality and inventory standards.
Coordinate inbound schedules with carriers, suppliers, transportation providers, and warehouse operations to ensure efficient dock utilization and product flow.
Lead and support process improvement initiatives focused on optimizing receiving, putaway, inventory accuracy, dock throughput, and inbound cycle times.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Transportation, Warehouse Operations, and IT teams to resolve inbound shipment exceptions and ensure material availability.
Monitor real-time performance metrics such as receiving productivity, dock-to-stock cycle time, inventory accuracy, ASN compliance, receipt timeliness, and putaway performance; initiate immediate corrective actions when performance deviates from targets.
Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound shipment issues, receiving discrepancies, damaged freight, supplier compliance concerns, missing documentation, and inventory variances.
Develop and maintain SOPs for inbound operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, inventory controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
Perform inbound quality audits, including receiving validation, serial number verification, damage inspections, inventory reconciliations, and transaction accuracy reviews; drive corrective actions with 3PL operational teams.
Partner with warehouse leadership to ensure timely putaway execution and location management, minimizing congestion and maximizing inventory visibility.
Train and coach warehouse personnel on receiving processes, inventory controls, scanning compliance, and inbound best practices.
Participate in cross-functional projects involving facility startup activities, inventory management improvements, warehouse layout optimization, system implementation, and supply chain transformation initiatives.
Analyze receiving, inventory, supplier, and transportation data to identify trends, eliminate waste, improve operational performance, and develop dashboards and executive summaries that support data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of experience in inbound logistics, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain execution within a distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
