About the job 

The Incubator within Alfa Laval’s Core Automation organization explores new platforms, technologies and development initiatives that shape the future of Alfa Laval’s control systems offering. As Product Owner, you will turn the technology roadmap into coordinated, meaningful deliveries, from early research into new toolkits, platforms and technologies to development initiatives that will serve as the foundation for next-generation control system applications. 

Working at the intersection of the Technology Manager, stakeholders and development teams, you will create clarity, align priorities and help the team move forward without unnecessary obstacles. You will translate complex needs into well-defined work items, guide initiatives across the OT platform portfolio and ensure that users, customers and their everyday challenges remain central throughout the design and development process. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Deliver initiatives supporting the direction in the technology roadmap for the initiatives’ relevant stakeholders. 

• Refine work items and translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories and backlog items. 

• Maintain and prioritize the development backlog in line with agreed commitments for development, rollouts and support. 

• Align stakeholders and product groups across the OT platform portfolio. 

• Prepare teams for incremental deliveries by clarifying scope, setting objectives and supporting demos. 

• Bring contributors together, facilitate alignment and create momentum across initiatives. 

• Collaborate with the Agile Team Coach and Focus Manager to improve team performance and share effective ways of working. 

• Drive product, technology and platform evaluation initiatives. 

Who are you 

You are passionate about turning complex needs into contemporary solutions that provide an excellent user experience. You create clarity by listening carefully, structuring information and communicating in a way that helps stakeholders and technical teams understand one another. You are comfortable orchestrating several perspectives, aligning people around priorities and keeping initiatives moving without imposing unnecessary processes. With strong business acumen, analytical thinking and a customer-centric mindset, you are also able to build trusted relationships across teams, departments and organizations.  

What you know 

To succeed in this role, you combine practical Agile experience with an understanding of product management and complex operational technology environments. 

• 2–4 years of experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master. 

• Solid understanding of product management and complex OT solutions. 

• Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies. 

• Experience working with product roadmaps, backlog prioritization and user stories. 

• Experience aligning stakeholders and development teams around shared objectives. 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, data science or equivalent experience. 

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. 

• Knowledge of control systems, embedded software or electrical design deliveries is appreciated but not required.
